Long-term succession plan in the Group’s top management

Seifert, who has been a member of the Group Executive Board since 2012, will succeed the current CEO, Richard Bauer, who will move to the Supervisory Board of the Group with effect on October 1, 2016 as the successor of Dr. Werner Redeker. Harald Vogelsang will take on the previous responsibilities of Stephan Seifert. This was unanimously decided by the Supervisory Board of Körber AG at its meeting on October 23, 2015.
The Supervisory Board regards with great respect the achievements of Richard Bauer as the Chairman of the Group Executive Board and the challenges he will continue to face in the remainder of his term of office. Bauer began his term of office on October 1, 2009. He had previously been the CEO of the Business Area Tobacco of Körber AG. Bauer has worked at the Group since 1997. Dr. Werner Redeker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Körber AG, commented, “With tremendous commitment, Mr. Bauer has driven the further development of Körber into one of the leading international technology groups and has set its new course for long-term profitable growth. Under his leadership we have succeeded in further raising the Group to a considerably higher level of performance and revenue, improving Körber’s position in new business areas and markets, and giving the Körber portfolio a sharper profile. He deserves our boundless gratitude for these accomplishments. We are also delighted that we were able to appoint Stephan Seifert, an in-house candidate, as his successor. Mr. Seifert played a key role in the realignment of the Group, and he will successfully continue our progress along the course we are pursuing.”
Harald Vogelsang will succeed Stephan Seifert as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). After receiving a degree in business management, Vogelsang began his career at Siemens. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of Weidmüller Holding AG, an international conglomerate that operates in the areas of mechanical engineering, the process industry, device production, the energy sector, and transportation technology. Vogelsang will join the Group on April 1, 2016 in order to ensure a smooth transition together with Stephan Seifert.
