Körber AG acquires inconso AG

inconso AG is a leading provider of logistics software. The acquisition, which is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities, will enable the Körber Group to further expand its intralogistics business.

"We are delighted to be joining forces with inconso AG to step up our activities in the high-potential strategic market of intralogistics," said Richard Bauer, Chairman of the Executive Board of Körber AG.

inconso AG is an ideal fit for this portfolio. Headquartered in Bad Nauheim near Frankfurt/Main, the company is a leading provider of consulting and software for logistics solutions. Its core competency is the customer-specific optimization of logistics processes, particularly in the area of warehouse management.

inconso's 500 or so employees, who are based at ten sites in Germany and one in France, help their customers with the design, implementation, and long-term maintenance of their logistics processes.

"We believe the companies in Körber's intralogistics business are ideal partners for inconso. The acquisition by Körber will open up new perspectives for us, particularly as far as international markets and new customers are concerned," said Bertram Salzinger, Chief Executive Officer of inconso AG.

Körber will acquire the majority of shares in inconso AG. The acquisition is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.
