Körber Group Relatively Unscathed by Economic Crisis
During the past financial year Körber Group’s incoming orders declined 19 % to €1.51 billion. Sales fell 8 % to €1.61 billion. In view of the difficult economic situation, the respective Group companies introduced numerous measures to trim costs and adjust capacities. “Our financial independence enables us to invest in our companies as well as in research and development, even in crisis year such as 2009. We used the time to focus even more strongly on the needs of our customers with innovations, investment and numerous market activities,” said Bauer. This means the preconditions have been created which will enable the Group to emerge from the crisis even stronger than before.
“Demand for innovative technologies remains high, and will pick up still further as markets recover;” said Bauer. The Körber Group is set to profit from this trend.
